Photographer Limburg: Cute First Communion Photoshoot in the Castle Park in Amstenrade
First, I had the pleasure of taking First Communion photos of her sister, and now it was her turn. She came from Belgium with her mother for the photoshoot of her First Communion. The weather was beautiful, and we captured the images under the lovely old trees and in a meadow full of dandelions.
This communicant had no problem sitting on a high branch in a beautiful tree, swinging in her First Communion outfit. She was a very photogenic girl, and nothing was too much for her. Together, we had a lot of fun during the First Communion photoshoot.
Just like her sister, she received a beautiful luxury First Communion album from her photos, which I had the privilege to design. Communion stationery (an invitation and a thank-you card) was also created from these First Communion photos. That's why I always schedule the First Communion photoshoot well before the actual communion date, allowing enough time for all these items to be produced.
On occasion, I also photograph a First Communion on the day itself. This usually involves larger First Communion celebrations where people want a documentary-style impression. I combine this with some family portraits (for example, with grandparents) and a small First Communion photoshoot of the communicant. Often, this takes place in the garden or in the natural surroundings.
I rarely capture First Communion photos during the church service. This is done only for small groups and in close consultation with the parents of the communicants. Due to the large number of weddings I photograph on Saturdays, it's often challenging to combine this with capturing an early church service on Sundays.
