Photographer Valkenburg (Limburg): Spontaneous, romantic photoshoot of a lovely couple in nature
These individuals booked a photo session with me during a weekend getaway in Valkenburg aan de Geul. We arranged to meet in the evening at the park of Chateau Sint Gerlach. We started the love shoot in the rose garden. Then we walked towards the orchard, where the couple enjoyed a stroll together. The wind picked up, and I captured some photos of her long, flowing hair. They picked apples together and sat romantically in the grass. Once the ice was broken, they even shared a kiss.
After the photoshoot, I received a lovely compliment: he had never seen someone so enthusiastic about their work. He had told me beforehand that he wasn't photogenic and never looked good in photos, which was, of course, a challenge for me. I was determined to capture a beautiful, spontaneous photo of him.
Eventually, I took some portraits near the "egg" close to the terrace of Chateau Sint Gerlach, and then we proceeded to my favorite spots in the garden: the two deer. Here, I took individual portraits of both, but also a romantic photo of them together. After an hour, we said goodbye, and I headed home.
It had been a long time since I spent a whole afternoon on the road, first at a wedding in Bilzen (Belgium) and then for this love shoot in Valkenburg. With driving and photographing, I spent a total of 5 hours on both assignments. It was something that gave me a lot of positive energy.
