Photographer in central Limburg: Gender reveal at restaurant Bosmolenplas in Heel
Last Sunday afternoon, I had the pleasure of capturing the atmosphere and doing a maternity photoshoot for a super lovely woman. She called me and booked me immediately for the entire afternoon. Her story is very special; two years ago, she came to the Netherlands from Ukraine with her two children, and through some twists and turns, one evening she met her Dutch husband, realizing she actually had no desire to go out.
Celebrating pregnancy with a large group of friends at restaurant Boschmolenplas
Now, two years later, she's pregnant and wanted to celebrate with a dinner with a large group of friends. For this occasion, they chose the trendy restaurant Boschmolenplas. This elevated restaurant offers a beautiful view over the water and boats.
A beautifully set long table and a wall adorned with flowers and balloons
When I arrived, there was a beautifully set long table, and against the wall, there was a large wall full of white flowers with the neon sign "oh baby" on it. The wall was framed by white balloons. This lovely decoration was arranged by her Greek friend. The white decoration was also reflected in the vases with white flowers on the table.
A maternity photoshoot by the water
I started the afternoon with a photoshoot of the pregnant woman together with her husband and two children. Since the trees are still bare, I chose the grassy area by the water. There was also a beautiful balloon arch set up here, and there was a button where she would later press to reveal the gender of the baby.
Hugging, champagne, and gifts
After the photoshoot with the family, we returned to the restaurant. Guests slowly arrived with their gifts. There were hugs, conversations, and champagne (with and without alcohol) was enjoyed.
A pink cloud revealed the gender; it's a girl!
Around 5 o'clock, the group sat down at the table. I also sat down for a moment and enjoyed my delicious scampi salad. Meanwhile, I took photos of the dining guests. It was very cozy, so cozy that we almost forgot about the time, and it was already twilight when we arrived at the water. All friends were ready, the button was pressed, and a huge plume of smoke with a pink hue rose into the air. Her daughter jumped in excitement.
After capturing the enthusiastic congratulations from friends and taking a group photo, I bid farewell to the group.
